Pefkos is a beautiful resort. I and my family had never been to any of the Greek islands before and booked the holiday as a last minute deal. So it was a very pleasant surprise when we arrived in pefkos. The resort is small but offers excellent restaurants and bars for a very child friendly holiday. The beach is small and beautiful. A sand beach, it was ideal for are two and half year old to play on and we found the sea to be exceptionally calm, so that she could confidently play in the shallow waters. A real family friendly resort, I would recommend this resort to anyone with small children. The locals are exceptionally friendly , the restaurants are plentiful and generally of a very good standard , and there are some lovely little bars which have play areas for young children. We ate out most nights and highly recommend Terpsis. We had only one meal we were not keen on and that was at enigma. At all restaurants a childrens menu was available providing dishes such as spaghetti bolognaise and sausage beans and chips. Not a fan of this type of food I asked if it would be possible to have smaller portions of a dish from the main adults menu. All restraunts we went to were very happy to oblige, and my little girl certainly loved all the meals.
In conclusion this is a beautiful resort if you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday with good food.

my friend and i arrived at the rinoula studios aug 06.we had it on the internet for the sum of ?269 each!two weeks self catering.we had been to pefkos before 2004,we loved it then so we decided to pay another vist.we had booked a taxi this time with manos. it was worth every penny last time it took us 2 and a half hours to travel from rhodes airport!too much hassle your tired and waiting about for the coach is too hot and tedious.it cost us 75 euros and fair play had us parked outside in 45 minutes!mind you it was like a fair ground white knuckle ride!those greek taxi drivers can sure drive ,we s..t ourselves in all honesty!glad to reach pefkos in one peice.we had a great location 3 mins from the main beach and 5 mins the other way to some of the best resturants we have ever eaten in!the studios were cosy enough if a little worn.they are a great price so if you want just the basics then its ideal.it has one bedroom 2 single beds and a wardrobe,a dressing table and stool.the kitchen very basic fridge 2 ringed electric cooker no toaster or kettle but you soon get used to it.bathroom alas no shower curtain!but if youve been to greece before you will know thats a luxury anyway!we had a pvc patio table and 2 chairs on a small patio which was lovely and private.they had fixed up a small line for us to use also.the only draw back was there is no air-con which just creased us at night.we did have a fan which was cheap at 20 euros for 2 weeks, but it was useless we couldnt sleep most nights,it was boiling.a few tips are.... go to the beach before 10.30am as the sun beds sell out fast as its so hot.2 sun beds and an umbrella costs 8 euros.flyers cafe on the beach is lovely for lunch its.reasonable and spotless.they do great pizza and sandwiches etc...to eat at night try the greek kitchen on the beach road opposite the matina hotel.fantastic steaks in pepper corn sauce ooh i can taste it now!!also the kalari bar and the oasis are nice drinking holes near the studios.the best bar without a doubt is "bambooze the geordie bar"!wot a laugh we used to have in there every night.we met fantastic paula and pauline ,and mo and rod from" the wirral" and laughed and swopped stories all night long.the fantastic hosts are eric and carol and their lush daughter vicky whos a star!they run a great bar with a welcoming atmosphere and great music we shall be back!there are other great eateries try "spitaki"fab greek authentic lamb in the oven ooh my god to die for!!also try "georges" and 2 brothers were good.if you want to do the sight seeing bit we recommend lindos is very beautiful day and night.the acropolis it stunning great to take a look if you love history.there are great night clubs and bars in lindos.it costs 6 euros in a taxi ,it takes about 5 mins.rhodes town is a great day out but it is more expensive to eat out.the old town is beautiful and its a good base to go across to symi for the day.well we ate,got drunk, made great new friends (who we will hopefully meet up with in sept 07 );if you have as much fun as we did you will have a lush time, hope this is helpful to you happy holidays belinda & jane welsh babes on tour !!!

we had the most wonderful holiday.the weather was fantastic very hot ,some days it was over 40c!we had a taxi booked through manos which was ten times better than picking up the coach at rhodes airport.we did that in 2004 it took us 2 and half hours to transfer much too tiring.this time september 2006 we had a taxi ride took us a very hair-rising 45 mins.talk about a white knuckle ride!!it leaves a lot to be desired we closed our eyes and prayed!boy can the greeks drive no fear!the studios i admit were disapoinnting at first they are well used and need a revamp but they are clean and basic and suit their purpose.they have a large bedroom with two pine single beds and side tables,a small dressing table and a wall mirror plus a large double wardrobe.a simple bathroom consists of toilet, hand basin and the usual stand up no shower curtain shower cubicle!the kitchen has the basic 2 ring cooker ,a fridge,no toaster or kettle(we have discovered this before so we werent shocked);.they only give you 3 of everything in self-catering 3 mugs ,cups, saucers, plates, cutlery etc...we did have a garden table and 2 pvc garden chairs on a small patio.they also provided a small washing line but we added to it and left it there for some one else to use!the cleaner and her hubby came in to empty bins and sweep everyday but not much else!we like to keep things neat so we kept things clean ourselves.they dont change the towels very often bring beach towels with you, they dont supply much!the location is fab 3 mins down a sandy lane and your on the beach.cracking beach safe and clean perfect for all.they rent the sunbeds and umbrellas for 2 people 8 euros a day.your really do need it its really too hot some days, into about 40c!!flyers is the best beach food very cheap and very clean, nice staff.the pefkos beach road you walk up to approach the main pefkos eating and shopping areas.is sio central for everything, only 7 mins walk your in the centre.best resturants on the beach road are the greek kitchen cracking food.also we loved spitaki on the main road also known as little greek kitchen.georges is very nice and 2 brothers also.kalarari bar and oasis bar are pleasant close to the studios.best bar in pefkos for the great compant is carol and eric and their zany daughter vicky .great times were had by all in there every night till at least 3 oclock every night!they are called bambooze the geordie bar.really great music is played all night and lots of lovely brits on holiday exchanging stories and laughter.you must vist lindos fab place only 5 mins taxi ride about 6 euros.vist the acropolis stunning place worth a look.great clubs and bars to see.rhodes town is beautiful but cooler to vist in the evening, the old town is really lovely lots of history.you can vist the isle of symi stunning place to see.takes about 2 hours to reach?if you want to book a trip dont go through the reps book it in the travel agents on the main road its much cheaper!the only draw back i would say about the down side of the rinoula studios is there is no air-con.they supply a fan for 20 euros for 2 weeks, which is cheap but its soo uncomfortable at night we found it really hard to sleep!!hope you find this a useful guide have a great holiday in pefkos. its a magic place, its somewhere special.we are going back in sept 2007 without a doubt.perhaps we ll see you there! welshbabes on tour !
