Tingaki is a fantastic place and the Marianna Apartments are an ideal place to stay. This was the first time my wife and I have been to Tingaki but we would definitely go again.
The coach transfer from the airport only takes 20 minutes, which was great as we got their at 2 in the morning so we wanted to get to the apartments as quick as possible.
The Apartments are very clean, a maid comes in every day apart from Sundays and they change the bedding and towels twice a week. The showers are standard to Greece and you have to hold them with one hand whilst you wash with the other and of course the usual toilet paper in the bin rather than down the toilet.
We had an apartment on the ground floor round the side next to the pool which was great. If you can I would try not to get one on the front as a few people mentioned that it could get a bit noisy with the motorbikes and cars going past on the main road. Each of the apartments has double glazed windows anyway so it shouldn't be much of a problem.
The Marianna pool area is very clean and a great little sun trap, it?s usually fine to get a bed but sometimes it can get a little busy. It opens about 9 so you can go and put your towel down so you have your bed for the day. If you don't spend your time at the pool then go down to the beach, it'll takes about 10 minutes to walk down to it and it?s well worth going. It will cost you 3 EUROS per bed but it's really nice down their and the beaches are fantastic golden brown. They have the usual water sports, banana boats, jet skis and ring?s!
The Marianna is on the main road that leads down to the beach. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk right down to the front. On the walk down you will pass all of the restaurants and bars. We ate out every night and didn?t have a bad meal. You can get started, main and wine for 2 of you for about 30 EUROS, about ?20 so it?s very good value.
The drinks in the bars vary; you can get a normal draught pint of Amstel or Greek lager for about 2 EUROS about ?1.40. Most do cheaper cocktails for about 3 EUROS about ?2.
A good bar to go to is Mascot as it usually has some sort of entertainment on, whether it be Karaoke, live bands or quiz nights.
We stayed there for 2 weeks and we found that Tingaki is the perfect place if you want a nice restful holiday. There is enough going on at night to stop you from being bored but without it attracting the 18-30?s crowd.
The weather was fantastic for the full 2 weeks, we only had one day when I think there was about 3 clouds in the sky!!
Fantastic holiday and We will be back!!!
